WALKING DEAD

Ok, you guys know... I watch a LOT of television. I mean, I have 15 shows in my Hulu subscriptions queue, but that doesn't count the FANTASTIC Mad Men or the newest (and potentially even MORE fabulous) Walking Dead. Holy SHIT you guys...... I am not really a zombie person (though I did really enjoy Zombieland), but this is just impeccable. The cute sign holding guy from Love Actually is the main character and... I just cannot be more impressed with this.

I'm adding it to the already ridiculous list of shows I religiously follow and commend the hell out of AMC for another job incredibly well done.

And I will leave you with this song. I hope it works, since my favorite forever drop.io is going away, I need to find another musicy source.

New musics!!!

I've been on a sort of different music kick lately that consists of two new, groups, I guess you could say. One group is largely Britney, Lady Gaga, and Ludacris related, and the other is a lot of Modest Mouse, The Sounds, MGMT and Bloc Party. But this isn't about them.

I was listening to my Weepies Pandora and The Wailin' Jennys came on. I listened to their song two or three times.... and then bought 2 of their albums on iTunes. They sound like Allison Krauss and The Weepies and something else that I can't place, but wow their music is gorgeous.

Dating in the Dark

Oh my goodness...

Smitten blogged about this show Dating in the Dark and I am so hooked. I haven't even finished an episode yet... I am actually blogging on the commercial break on ABC.com. Though, I confess, I will more than likely watch it on the hulu.com site from now on because I hate ABC's player so much.

Either way, I'll be watching it all day, I'm sure. I suggest you do the same.

Update: OH MY GOSH!! SOOO GOOD!! Season premiere=BRILLIANT. Lovelovelovelovelove....

To all you geeks out there...

...this is for you:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I want to BE Felicia Day.

If you're into nerdiness, you can watch her Web Series The Guild and laugh harder at the video because the characters will make more sense. And for even more Felicia Day genius, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is a must watch (It also has the amazingly talented Neil Patrick Harris and the equally talented and deliciously handsome Nathan Fillion).

The cutest thing!!

OK, so I'm driving home on a pretty busy street (think 3 lanes either way) and I get to a cross street that has a stoplight and there's some commotion. As in, the traffic isn't moving, but there are a bunch of bikers in the middle of the road. I'm going one direction and in the median next to me is a motorcycle and standing in the street with his arms up stopping traffic is a big ol' biker dude. As I'm trying to figure out what that guy is doing, I see two other biker folks actually crossing the street. What are they doing?

Yep. Several good Samaritan bikers stopped traffic to help a momma duck and her 7 (from what I can count) baby duckies cross the busy street.

cutest. ever.

Sorry the picture quality stinks; it was my cell phone camera.

Favorite: On Movies

So, among the cheapest and most worthwhile ways to use up a couple of hours with someone is watching a movie, right? That is a little harder to do when the person you want to watch a movie with is a time zone away. All I can say is that it can be done, though it's best when you both have the same cell phone provider (Thank God for the IN Network). Oh, and that Redbox is fantastic. Nothing like standing in front of your respective Redboxes (in different states) on your cell phones trying to decide what movie(s) to watch. Technology is a wonderful, wonderful thing.

I love it when I have known someone long enough to not only have inside jokes, but legitimate habits built on inside jokes. And I don't mean heavy-handed, obvious stuff. I'm talking the subtle and comforting goofiness when you know that a question is coming, so you look forward to it and laugh every time. Because it's funny. It's funny in its own right, but it's also funny that it still happens.

Do we start on 1, or after 1?
